Juvenile Community Services for the Benefit of the Local Community: In Search of Effective Methods of Resocialization

The article concerns juvenile community services for the benefit of local – an educational measure used by Polish courts. It presents research carried out using three methods: legal-dogmatic method, statistical and case study method. covered 14 cases in which 2013 court obliged juveniles to work (nearly 1% total number such rulings within this year Poland). results show that courts use increasingly often, it currently constitutes about 4% regarding measures aimed at juveniles. Courts most commonly against who are between 16 17 years old. Generally, included 10 hours juveniles’ schools. Carrying ruling was usually managed probation officers. also highlights lack legislation regulating assignment carrying service. Such clarity caused difficulties courts’ rulings.
